How Do I Unlock a Wolf Cooktop?
The answer
Touch and hold Lock for three seconds on a current Wolf induction or electric cooktop; the older CT induction models want five. The lock also sets itself after ten idle minutes and whenever power comes back after an outage. If the symbol goes out and the controls still ignore you, call Redmond Wolf Repair on (425) 905-2822.

Why it locked
Wolf built the lock to stop the top being switched on by a stray hand or a damp cloth. On the current models it comes on by itself after ten minutes with nothing touched, and the cooktop wakes up locked when it is first powered and after a power cut.
Switching the automatic lock off
If the automatic lock gets in your way, the current guide keeps its switch in the extended options. With the cooktop off and unlocked, hold All Off for five seconds, step through with + on the timer until the display shows Lo, touch Sim on the front element to turn the automatic lock off, then touch All Off to save. Holding Lock still locks the panel by hand whenever you want it.
