Cracked Glass and a Zone That Stopped Responding
When the glass-ceramic on a Wolf electric or induction cooktop cracks, the whole top comes out of use, whether or not the zone under the crack still answers.

The silent zone can wait its turn
Whether the crack and the zone that stopped answering are connected is settled at the diagnosis, not at the stove. Until then, the glass decides. Wolf’s current guide for its induction and electric cooktops tells owners not to run a top whose glass-ceramic is broken or badly pitted, and to have it repaired instead. The zones that still work fall under the same instruction.
Until someone has seen it
Leave the breaker off so nobody switches a zone on out of habit. Keep water, cleaners and pans off the glass, and do not pick at the crack or try to clean inside it.
How the work is priced
Cooktop glass has no price band of its own here, so the repair is quoted after the diagnosis, once the model and the damage have been looked at. The $89 visit counts toward that repair if you go ahead with it.
